So, yesterday I drove down with my friend Ian to the Elkton/North East area to begin filming his movie. I appear as Violet, a strange young russian girl who is actually a demon. Thomas Crazy Dog, played by our friend Justin, plays the protagonist who meets me and my disturbed younger brother Chester at a car wreck along a highway amidst the canyons of static. I get a nude scene and a violent death scene, so huzzah! as andrew a.k.a. chester kept saying in between takes. John (not real name) also sneaked out to appear as my father, although he does not have any speaking lines.

In the movie, my family lives in a small rustic cabin. The cabin justin promised turned out to be a 4 foot high shed, so we thought we were fucked...until we found an empty house. Technically, it does have an owner, but no one has lived there recently, at the latest we determined 2005. After some B&E, we set up shop, and did some filming. Felt bad for John, as he didn't have much to do, and wasn't allowed to fuck shit up ("Ian's lucky he's with you, 'cause if he weren't, you know i'd be rippin' shit apart.") or take anything. That is, until he kept trying to mess me up. Bad enough Justin and John would randomly burst into "MA NIGGAZ MA NIGGAZ MA BITCHEZ..." Still, since we couldn't open the windows, let alone let there be electricity for a fan, everybody was pretty good all day considering the heat.

Later we went back to Justin's, and that's when the Shitshow began. I enjoyed myself, but... it felt like i was in the middle of the movie "Kids."

Seth and Big Bird are 14 years old, but Seth looks more like 12 or 13, and Big Bird doesn't look a day over 11. Seth's on parole and wasn't allowed to smoke up with the rest of us, as he failed his drug tests twice and now they've begun to search him (so he doesn't sneak anything in). Big Bird, Nick, he lit up a camel and puffed away, although I was slightly comforted by the fact that he was 14, and not 9 years old. Of course, then he was talking to "hot bitches" on myspace, little girls acting like they were more plastic than porn stars...Seth and Big Bird are Crips, although the gang scene in Elkton is still not fully developed. As Justin said, "I really hope that I'm one of the guys who helps bring that about, making E-Town into a full NYC-style ghetto." Seth, they believe, will control the entire scene 10 years from now, judging from the respect he already has on the street.

Gaylin showed up, even if he and Seth butt heads half the time, the night before Seth had threatened to call the guns out on Gaylin. Gaylin is 16 and a "fake" Blood, as there is no real, functioning blood sect in the area. While mostly talk, he'll take a fight. Mikey B. Butler, the 40 year old alcoholic out on work release crashing at Justin's, tried to pick a fight with Gaylin, after Gaylin told him to lay off Lynette, Justin's mom. While everybody wanted to see a fight, Lynette told Gaylin to drop it ("Not in the house") and Mike Butler was too drunk to put up a real fight. It wouldn't have been pretty either, as John, Seth, and Big Bird would have jumped on Mike the second a punch was thrown, no matter who started it.

John is 16, turning 17. He's a former crack dealer, jumped bail, and is hiding out until he decides to turn himself in. He's also a blood and has done time ("M.O.B."). He looks much older than he is. He does have many a phobia: bugs, spiders, snakes, throwing up ("I'm fine once I'm actually doing it, but that feeling of before...")
I feel bad saying this much, and I can't say anymore about John without saying way too much...
